Born in Brissago, the artist lives and works in Bellinzona. From 1972 to 1974 she attended the Kunstakademie in Munich, and from 1981 to 1983 she took lessons at DAMS in Bologna, where she explored theoretical language and started to experiment with mainly conceptual and minimalist art (photography and installations), in addition to producing abstract paintings.
Her experience in Paris (1984-1986) was a turning point in her research. Her work became more simple and at the same time more remote emotionally, creating a delicate balance between poetry and conceptuality in a continuous dialogue between painting and photography.
