The Museo d'Arte di Mendrisio will host an exhibition from 5th August to 25th September 2005 dedicated to Gino Macconi (Intra, Novara 1928 - Mendrisio 1999),  the artist, collector and gallery owner. This is the first major retrospective of his work to be held since his death, and on display will be around a hundred works, most of which are from a bequest made to the Museum in 1999 by the Fondazione Gino e Gianna Macconi. The exhibition also explores Macconi's cultural involvement over a thirty-year period in the Mendrisio area.
